So we had 4 inches of snow here at the beach last night, and it is now all turning to slush so that it can refreeze tonight. We were going to go to the symphony tonight in Charleston, but a 50 mile drive over a variety of swamp and river bridges didn't seem like a good idea (The SC DOT has one maybe two salt trucks for this part of the world so: unsalted bridges = iced bridges = bad; like bob horner in st. louis bad, curse you little chocolate doughnuts for ruining horner's career!). So here we are cuddled up by the fire watching the snow melt. It is nice to have a lazy day eventhough we were going to do a bunch of yard work today, I guess I will just clean the house and maybe clean my guns.
In other news, the baby is starting to get the hiccups, and Beth is having some indigestion. So no tomato dishes at night. We also got in the car seat and stroller the other day. We also got a pack and play, so the aggregation of baby accoutrements has begun in earnest. Beth also has four weeks left of work (not that she is counting the days). Any way, I should do some work around the house and stop lamenting horner's early retirement due to beer and doughnuts, Yakult Swallows my ass.
