So before our little Ladybug was born I was thinking of something unusual to build for her to use as a mobile or other visual 'toy'. Thus I got to thinking about single letter abbreviations of amino acids (Beth and I both worked in various forms of peptides) of EAS - Edith Ann Shugart. E - glutamic acid, A - alanine, S - serine. So I made a model of a triamino acid containing these three amino acids (N terminus to C terminus) in the order EAS. Hence, Edith's peptide (also Beth's since she is EAS as well). - Shüg
