A day in NC

So we took our last long trip before our little one comes. We took and spent the day in the nearby coastal town of Wilmington NC. Walked around downtown then headed to BBQ at Jacksons (a local place) It was pretty good interesting spicy hot sauce. After lunch we headed to a local park (Arilie) where the Camilla were in bloom. They were really nice and we enjoyed a slow walk/tram ride around a lake and a 500+ live oak (where the picture was taken). We then headed back to downtown historic district where we parked the car and walked around and down by the river. We had an early dinner at a local French Mediterranean restaurant. It was very delightful time sitting on the riverfront watching the world flow by. It was then getting towards evening and we headed home.(Stopping by a bbq place for a last NC bbq sandwich(Smithfield BBQ). A delightful time in a small coastal town and a nice last date for the two/three of us. -Beth
